BotBrains demonstrate findings

A group of students who completed an energy audit of the Warrenton Library as part of a regional competition last fall will present its findings from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 2, in the library's program room.

The team, which calls itself BotBrains, had to use robotics to understand and create solutions for one of today’s most critical environmental issues: energy management and conservation. The yearly competition is sponsored by The FIRST LEGO League, an international program for 9- to 14-year-old children that was created in a partnership between the nonprofit organization FIRST and the toy maker The LEGO Group. See earlier post for more on the competition.

The BotBrains advanced through the first round of competition and went on the the regionals in November.
