Organic gardening tips presented by master gardener

Alison Bremner, a Virginia Cooperative Extension Master Gardener, is presenting a workshop on organic gardening for people wishing to start an organic garden from scratch or transform a traditional garden to an organic garden.

The workshop will begin at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, at the Bealeton Library.

Bremner will talk about what the term “organic” means at the workshop and she will discuss strategies for soil and pest management and composting principles.

The workshop is free and registration is not required. Call (540) 439-9728 for more information.
