Children learn the beauty of signing

Certified sign language interpreter Dorothy Donvan will present a “sing-n-sign” program at all Fauquier County public libraries on Saturday, July 10.

Ms. Donvan discovered her love for sign language when she worked at the Helen Keller National Center in New York and has since interpreted for the deaf for the elementary level through the college level. A professional musician for more than 25 years, she also sings and plays guitar.

The program is part of Fauquier County Public Library’s free summer reading programs for children and teens, which continue through Aug. 14.
