Library now provides animated picture books online

Fauquier County Public Library has just introduced a collection of animated, talking picture books for elementary school children that can be accessed online every day, any time of day - perfect for harried parents with enthusiastic and not-so-enthusiastic young readers.

These lively electronic books, from the TumbleBookLibrary collection, are created from existing picture books by adding sound, animation, music and narration. Each story comes with puzzles and games geared to ensure reading comprehension, and the TumbleBook site is easy for children to navigate. Stories may be heard in English, French or Spanish.

The TumbleBookLibrary program is supported in whole or in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services, under the provision of the Library Services and Technology Act as administered by the Library of Virginia.
