Get checklist for fundraising grants

The Bealeton Library is hosting a workshop in early March that will help nonprofit groups, and those considering nonprofit status, learn the characteristics of established nonprofits and assess if their groups are ready for foundation fundraising.

The hour-and-a-half workshop — being presented by the Foundation Center, Washington, D.C., the leading source of information about philanthropy worldwide — begins at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, at the Bealeton Depot, which is adjacent to the Bealeton Library.

Registration is free, but reservations must be made in advance online or by calling (202) 331-1400. Registrants requiring ASL signers or other disability-related services are asked to contact the Foundation Center at least two weeks in advance.

The Bealeton branch of Fauquier County Public Library is a Cooperating Collection of the Foundation Center. For more information e-mail or call Bealeton Branch Manager Natalie Swart, (540) 422-8532.
