Library receives donation from Green Building Resource Center

Fauquier County Public Library recently received six books on green building and energy conservation code from the Green Building Resource Center (GBRC), a division of Culpeper County’s Building Department.

Mr. Bruce Cornwall, a project manager for the GBRC, presented the books to the library's Manager of Collection Services Fran Burke-Urr. Included in the donation were three code-related manuals, and three books on green building science principles: The Builder’s Guide to Mixed-Humid Climates by Joseph I. Stiburek, The Green Home by Lynn Underwood, and Residential Energy by Krigger – Dorsi. The code books will be located in the reference section at the Warrenton Library and the remaining books will be available to check out by any Fauquier County Public Library card-holder.

The Green Building Resource Center is an Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) program recipient that supports Planning District 9 (Culpeper, Rappahannock, Fauquier, Madison and Orange counties).
