Antique, old books sale and more

The Friends of the Fauquier Library is hosting a special sale of old and antique books two weekends in November at its Book Cellar.

Other outstanding sales are slated for all four November weekends in the Friends used book store the Book Cellar.

The old and antique book sale will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Nov. 4 and 18 in the meeting hall of the John Barton Payne Building in Warrenton.

Old and antique books will be priced at $2 each and book sets will be offered at varying bargain prices. There are hundreds of books dating from the 1800s and later being offered.

One sale table will feature autographed books for $2 each. Browsers are sure to find some treasures. Any remaining books selected for this special sale, excluding the sets, will be sold as a single lot in a silent auction that will conclude at 6 p.m. Nov. 18.

The Book Cellar will host its regular monthly sales every Friday and Saturday. Topics featured this month in the Book Cellar are: travel, self-help, relationships, and diet and exercise.

When you buy one book from these sale categories you are entitled to a second title of equal or lesser value in that category for free.

Featured authors priced under the same terms this month are: Tom Clancy, Robin Cook and Catherine Coulter.

All Book Cellar proceeds support library needs and help provide reading programs, cultural events and entertainment at the library for children, teens, and adults. Call (540) 439-1939 for more information or to volunteer at the Book Cellar.
