Learn to find funders for your nonprofit

In April the Bealeton Library is presenting a one-hour workshop introducing a key online tool for finding funders, the Foundation Directory Online Professional.

Finding Funders will be presented at 9 a.m. Wednesday, April 11, and repeated 9 a.m. Wednesday, April 25. The workshop will cover learning how to create customized searches to develop lists of prospective foundation and corporate donors that will match your nonprofit organization’s funding needs.

Although free, registration is required to attend the program. Please contact Natalie Wheeler, (540) 422-8532, to register.

The Bealeton Library is designated as a cooperative collection of the Foundation Center — the nation's leading authority on philanthropy. The Foundation Center was established in 1956 and is now supported by more than 600 foundations. It connects nonprofits and the grant makers supporting them to tools they can use and information they can trust. The center maintains the most comprehensive database on U.S. grant makers and their grants.

The cooperating collection helps individuals learn the basics of grant seeking and grant making, gathering information about grant proposals and proposal writing, finding detailed profiles for foundations and corporate givers, and exploring additional topics related to philanthropy and fundraising.
