Kids to celebrate musical heritage with musicians

Nationally known musicians Suzanne and Jim will be appearing at all Fauquier County public libraries on Monday, June 25, and your whole family is invited.

Admission is free; the concert is sponsored by the Friends of the Fauquier Library as part of the Dream Big summer reading program for children of all ages.

Suzanne is rapidly gaining a national reputation as a song stylist. Her powerful, rich voice is equally suited to sentimental ballads, cowgirl yodels, and old time gospel. Jim has been at the forefront of the claw hammer banjo revival for more than 30 years. His style has been referred to as “powerful” and “eloquent.”

Together this husband and wife duo look to the roots of Americana music and lore, blending their voices and instruments in songs of an earlier time. They have enthralled audiences in more than 35 states and in Canada.
