Spring Series for Non-Profits at the Bealeton Library

This Spring, the Bealeton Library is hosting a number of classes for non-profit organizations seeking grants.  Below is a list of upcoming Cooperating Collection programs slated for this Spring.  Please note, all classes are free of charge, however registration is required.  To register, contact Natalie Wheeler at 540.422.8532 or e-mail

Grant Seeking Basics:  Are you a representative of a nonprofit organization?  New to fundraising?  This introductory one hour course provides an overview of the funding research process for those seeking grants from foundations, corporations, and grantmaking public charities.

Introduction to Finding Funders:This one hour hands-on workshop provides an introduction to one of the key online tools for finding funders, Foundation Directory Online Professional.  Learn how to create customized searches to develop lists of prospective foundation and corporate donors that will match your nonprofit organization's funding needs.

Introduction to Grant Writing: Ginger Hilleary, Executive Director of Literacy Volunteers of Fauquier County, will conduct a four part workshop on Grant Writing Basics at the Bealeton Depot.  Participants are welcome to stay afterwards and use the Foundation Center’s cooperating collection housed at the Bealeton Library. Note:  This is a four (4) part series.  Participants should plan on attending all four (4) sessions.
