Maybe I say it every year, but I welcome spring with open arms!
After the winter that just wouldn't go away, most of us are especially pleased to see and feel spring's arrival. The signs can be seen all around us - from the tulips that have bravely poked their heads up to the return of many birds to our yards, and of course the warmer temperatures that seem to inch a little higher almost daily.
With spring comes the need to freshen up the flower beds, get those first vegetable plants in the ground and maybe plant a new shrub or tree. Here in Fauquier County, we are fortunate to have the Fauquier County Master Gardeners to assist us in selecting the perfect herbs, vegetables and plants to adorn our table or our yard.
