Summer Reading Program: Upcoming Programs for Children

Over 1,000 children and 250 teens have already registered for our 2014 Summer Reading Program and they have been busy!  In addition to reading over 10,000 books, summer reading program participants have created origami, learned about bats, been amazed by mad scientists, and attended family movies, to name a few of the programs and special events held so far.

Whew, and the summer reading program has just gotten started! 

So what's coming next? Here are a few highlights of programs and events taking place in the next few weeks for children.

Math Mania

Whether you are a math fanatic or are math phobic, you'll have a blast with Math Mania's games, stories and activities! Suitable for children kindergarten and older.

Thursday, July 10 @ 3:30 p.m. (John Marshall) 
Friday, July 11 @ 10:30 a.m. (John Barton Payne Bldg., Warrenton) 

Out of This World

Have a blast with stories and activities about space! Future astronauts K - 3rd grade will love this program.

Monday, July 14 @ 6 p.m. (John Barton Payne Bldg., Warrenton) 
Friday, July 18 @ 10:30 a.m. (John Marshall) 

Uno, Dos, Tres con Andres!

Children of all ages will enjoy bilingual singing and dancing with Andres Salguero.
