Holiday Programs for Kids of All Ages at Your Library

A stroll down main street, a trip to virtually any store or a glimpse of television commercials and you are sure to know - the holiday season is officially here. 

A visit to you local library will soon reveal sights and sounds of the holidays as well. From brightly lit holiday trees to visits from Santa himself, the elves at all three Fauquier County Public Library locations have been busy planning and preparing great holiday activities and programs for children of all ages. 

Highlights include: 

Santa and Mrs. Claus @ the Library 

Tuesday, December 2 
5 p.m.
Children can sit on Santa's lap and parents can take holiday photos
(Reservation required - call Natalie Wheeler to reserve your space (540) 422-8532.)

6 p.m. 
The annual holiday program continues with community caroling led by Liberty High School Chorus and lighting of the community Christmas tree. Immediately followed by additional opportunities to visit with Santa, stories and crafts. Receive your number to see Santa upon arrival. 

Saturday, December 6
10 a.m.
Santa and Mrs. Claus return to the library. Drop in - no registration or numbers required.

Monday, December 8 
4:30 - 5:30 p.m.
A special visit by Santa and Mrs. Claus! Children of all ages will enjoy stories and an opportunity to meet Santa while parents take holiday photos.

Piedmont Railroaders Train Exposition

Saturday, December 6 
There's a lot going on at the Bealeton library! The year-long celebration of 10 years at the Willow Drive concludes with a special train exposition. Multiple model train layouts will be on display. 

Holiday Open House and Story Time

More holiday fun! The community is invited to visit the library for a holiday open house and story time prior to the annual Bealeton Christmas Parade. Grab some warm cider and cookies to ward off the chill, then head outside for the parade. Parade route begins just outside the library. 


Holiday Knitting Class for Teens

Tuesday, December 16
4 p.m.
Learn a fun craft just in time for the holidays! The Bealeton Teen Advisory Group (TAG) invites students grade 6 and up to join them for a fun, holiday TAG meeting. Its a great way to learn more about TAG and have some holiday fun. 

LEGO Club

Children grades K - 5 have fun with LEGOs. Each meeting starts with a story based on the theme then crate something from LEGOs based on the theme. December's theme is "holiday hoopla." Meetings are held at all three library locations. Check the online calendar of events for meeting dates and times.
